Plain-language terms for the CBW website and quotes — free measure, 48-hour quotes, 14-day validity, milestone payments and documented variations.
What these terms cover
This page explains, in plain language, how we quote, communicate and price work that starts from this website or from our published channels. Projects are governed by the signed project agreement, which carries the full legal detail; where this page and the agreement differ, the agreement wins.
Quotes
- Free on-site measure — we look at the space before we price a rupee
- Itemised quote within 48 hours of the measure
- Quote valid for 14 days from issue
- Prices follow our published rate card for standard scopes; anything bespoke prices on its own line
Payments
Work is paid on milestones agreed in the quote — never 100% upfront. Where instalment plans (Koko, Payzy) are introduced at checkout, they apply only once our merchant accounts are live. [OWNER TODO: late-payment clause]
Variations
Changed scope is documented and re-quoted before it is executed. Verbal additions do not change the price — the signed line does.
Warranty & defects
Warranty terms are written into each signed agreement and match the work type. Defects are recorded honestly at completion and fixed per the agreement. [OWNER TODO: warranty length per service]
Site access & safety
The owner provides agreed access, and water/power supply, at the agreed times; the site follows our safety rules for everyone’s sake — no shortcuts, tools stored, area cordoned while work runs.
Law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Problems go first to direct, good-faith resolution; unresolved disputes follow the dispute clause in the signed agreement. [OWNER TODO: registered agreement / arbitration route]
Website & brand
The CBW name, mark and site content belong to Ceylon Build Works. Copying our rate card or photos without written permission isn’t part of the plan.
